1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog without a doubt. I can drink a half gallon in one sitting.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa doesn't stop at my house. I work to hard to buy those gifts to give credit to a fat white man who can't even knock on the door like civilized folks
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? whatever for both
4. Do you hang mistletoe? NO
5. When do you put your decorations up? whenever I get around to it. I start pulling them out after Thanksgiving
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?Sweet potatoes
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: popping the lock on my mother's bedroom door and playing with all our dolls before hastily rewrapping them. Apparently moms had lots of fun at a Christmas party that year because she was never the wiser.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?I don't remember ever believing in Santa Claus.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Heck no, we're still shopping!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? However the kids want to.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Dread it. I miss Virginia Beach where 1 inch closed everything down. It would take much more than that in Ohio
12. Can you ice skate? I haven't done so in years so who knows?
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Every year my sister gets me something from Bath and Body Works
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Just being able to relax and laugh with my family
15. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Pigging out on food and then falling asleep watching movies.
16. What tops your tree? An angel
17. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Wouldn't I be nice if I said giving, but who doesn't like to get gifts?
18. What is your favorite Christmas Song? What Child is This?
19. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Just okay.
20. Favorite Christmas desert.pumpkin or peach pie Neither. I prefer Sweet Potato Pie, thankyouverymuch.

I'm getting bored in my work life. I've been temping until I find something permanent, so I'm limited in what I can do. Does anyone have any suggestions? What can I take for lunch? How do you impress the people in the "office"? What should I pack in my work bag? Keep in mind that I use public transportation so I can't be carting around a 20 pound bag. Trendy, but professional work clothes ideas? How should I handle office politics when I'm not going to be a part of the office for long? I've tempted on and off for 10 years so I know how to handle most situations, but I think I'm getting stuck in a rut, so I'm looking for a way to fresh perspective.

Want proof that there is a God? Blackwell lost big time. I find much joy in that.

As a sometimes smoker, I'm disappointed that the smoking ban passed. There has to be a compromise. I liked sitting at Denny's at 2am sharing a pot of coffee and a pack of cigarettes with my best friend talking about aliens, abortion, sit-coms, immigration, pop-tarts and whatever else our warped minds came up with. I can respect how non-smokers feel, but can I get the back room of the bar or something? Damn. Cut a sister a break.

Did I mention that Kenneth Blackwell lost?

I got these questions from mommysavers newsletter.

What is your first name?
Ebony

What are your kids’ names?
Lady Day, Bubba, AJ and Bear-Bear

Were you ready for motherhood?
Yes, I was. I waited until I was 26 and planned the pregnancy.

Have you ever met someone who has completely inspired you to be a better person? Can you tell us about that relationship and how it has affected you?
It may sound like a cliche, but the best people I have known I met in the church. There are some crazies and some truly inspiring people hanging out in the pews of many churches.

Do you have any nervous habits? What are they?
I crack my knuckles.

Did you ever date a guy your parents did not like? Were they right about him?
I don't think so. I didn't ask though, so who knows?

What do you want your kids to remember the most about you?
That I am a praying parent and that that is the most loving thing a parent can do for their child.

What did you learn the most from your mother?
How to not be a horrible mother.

How many coupons do you use on a regular basis? What is your best money saving tip?
I always cut the darn things out, then forget to take them to the store, or tho use them at the check out. Duh! Estimate how much money you will need each day and put that in your pocket/purse. That includes credit/debit cards. That's all you can spend. You won't spend it if you don't have it on you to spend.

What is the most romantic thing your dh ever did for you?
I'm a sucker for the little things. Keep the flowers, I want kindness. I love French toast, but hate to cook it. I loved when he got up and fixed it for me when I just casually mentioned that it would sound good, or how he heats up the van for me in the mornings because I hate cold weather.

Tell us five things you like about yourself.
My eyes, my sense of humor, my intelligence, my faith, my fun spirit

What hobby do you enjoy the most? What got you started on it? How would you rate yourself? Can you show us a picture of your proudest piece of work?
It depends on my mood. Right now I'm on a sewing kick. I'm pretty good, better than average, not quite an expert.

How many frogs did you kiss before you found Mr. Right? Was he worth the wait?
Not a lot. I haven't had alot of boyfriends since most of my relationships have been long term deals. My husband and I are currently separated, but yes, he was worth the wait.

What is your favorite genre of music? Who is your favorite group? Have you ever seen them in concert?
I like all kinds of music. I probably listen to R&B most often, but I have on talk radio more than music. If music was my religion, Luther Vandross would be my god. I have seen him in concert a couple of times.

What do you see your children growing up to be like? What career path would they choose?
I really don't know. They are still too young (9 yrs-10 mos) for me to have given this much thought.

Is there something we would never guess about you? Some kind or quirk you have no one close to you knows about. (C’mon tell us!!!!)
No one who reads this blog knows me, so it really wouldn't matter. I do talk to myself. Alot. Probably alot more than what is considered normal. I don't have full conversations where I'm responding to my own questions or anything like that, but I'm probably not too far off crazy.

Are there words you live by? What are they?
"To thine own self be true." Anyone who truly loves you will respect that.

I had to take another unexpected hiatus.

Election day is finally here. Hallalueh!!! I say that not because I am excited to go out and exercise my patriotic duty and vote, I say that because it means the end of political ads. For now at least. Are there people out there who are actually swayed by these ads? You honestly don't learn anything new about the people featured and I bet if they were to do a study, they would find that most of us are annoyed by the ads, not inspired to do anything about it.

Have you ever...
